The Food Standards Agency in Northern Ireland (FSANI) has produced The Survival Guide to Food for 6th form students, to help equip them with the skills to eat well and be well when they leave home for the first time.

The guide contains lots of useful information on making healthy food choices, shopping and budgeting tips as well as good hygiene information. Packed full of healthy, easy to follow recipes, the guide also includes interesting food facts and tips on what to eat when studying. the funky design along with the clearly defined sections provides a student-friendly approach to increasing interest in food and nutrition.

It was created as a teaching resource for life skills or enrichment classes and is available for any school in Northern Ireland with 6th form leavers - absolutely free.
