Smoking Cessation for patients

Description:

Smoking cessation support is offered to all patients on admittance to hospital
Advice is given on NRT, and patches are available for any patient who requests it.
The smoking cessation coordinator is available to visit any patient who so wishes. Advice is given on stopping smoking while in hospital, how to handle cravings and any other queries or concerns they might have.  Advice is also given on NRT after discharge, staying stopped after discharge and information on where their closest support groups are.
At present there are two support clinics organised by the smoking cessation coordinator.  One staff clinic and one clinic at the Ulster Hospital and one at Ards Hospital
