This NICE guidance presents the recommendations on 'One to one interventions to reduce the transmission of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV, and to reduce the rate of under 18 conceptions, especially among vulnerable and at risk groups.' One to one interventions are an important element of modern sexual health services and are part of the strategy to prevent STIs and under 18 conceptions. As such, they should be integral to the routine care provided by both primary care and contraceptive services. The guidance is for NHS and non-NHS professionals who have a direct or indirect role in, or responsibility for, sexual health services. This includes those working In local authorities and the education, community, voluntary and private sectors.
