The Institute of Child Care Research (ICCR) at Queen's University Belfast was founded in 1995. This multidisciplinary research unit is dedicated to researching the lives of children and young people in Northern Ireland.

This year, it is celebrating 18 years of the Institute, with an event on Thursday the 20th June, and the publication of a booklet illustrating its story, which you can download here. 

The Institute has partnerships with others concerned with children and families – such as policy-makers, practitioners and leaders in the voluntary, private and public sectors – and with children and young people themselves.
