Description:

Following on from the sucess of the 2011 Campablitites, the CARA Adapted Physical Activity Centre Ltd and the Institute of Technology Tralee in association with the National Council for the Blind and the National Learning Network (Sporting Chance Programme) will host the third CampAbilities Ireland this year (2012) in Killarney Co Kerry. The dates for the camp are the 2nd-6th April.

Campabilities is a 5 day residential sports and recreation camp for children with vision impairments (aged 8-18 years).

    * Introducing children with vision impairments to new sports/physical activities and increasing their independence within the community.

    * Empowering each camper to be physically active, improving their health and well being and support ing each camper in accessing local sports and physical activity opportunities.

    * Educating local sports and physcial actvity clubs on the inclusion of children with vision impairments in within sports and physical activities
