Description:

The Active 4 Life programme is targeted at 12-15 year olds and aims to prevent and reduce overweight, maintain healthy weights and improve diets and physical activity levels. The programme consists of one 2 hour session per week for eight weeks. The sessions include nutrition education and exercise classes while also dealing with self esteem and body image. Parents are encouraged to attend the six nutrition sessions with their child. The exercise sessions were facilitated by staff from the Southern Sports Partnership and consisted of various activities. for example swimming , basketball, walking, team games (soft ball).
