Description:

A new website for the Public Health Wales Observatory has been launched. The Public Health Wales Observatory is part of Public Health Wales and provides meaningful information both locally and nationally to help the NHS and others to improve the health of the people of Wales and health services in Wales. The new web pages bring together background information about the Observatory, the products it has produced and details of how to access evidence and data. Recent Observatory products include demographic and lifestyle profiles, a series of small area indicator technical reports to support local health needs assessment work and updated information on hospital admissions related to alcohol.
More web pages are being developed to help users identify useful publications, data sources and evidence for specific topics. Current topics include alcohol misuse, healthy eating and obesity, inequalities and inequities in health, maternal and child health, physical activity, population estimates and projections, rural health, smoking and teenage pregnancy
