A new strategy to help people on low incomes get to jobs, schools and hospitals launched by the Social Exclusion Unit.

The report sets out a range of measures to improve life chances and opportunities for people on low incomes by improving transport links and making changes to the way services are delivered. The cornerstone of the report is a new commitment to Accessibility Planning to provide local solutions to local problems. For the first time it will be someone's job in every local area to work with a range of partners to make sure local people can get where they need to go.
