Description:

This is a model to estimate the long term (10 year) impact of changes in the prevalence of obesity on the incidence and prevalence of CHD, diabetes and mortality, and the NHS treatment costs.

The model simulates a cohort of 2,500 people sampled at random from the Norfolk population. Each year, the probability (risk) of each patient developing one of a number of conditions is dependent on a number of other variables from the previous year.
