This presentation summarises the development of an epidemiological and economic model predicting the incidence, prevalence and cost of obesity-related morbidities over the next 10 years in a defined population (Norfolk, UK). The model then considers a number of alternative 'what if' scenarios representing the impact of public health interventions aimed at reducing the prevalence of obesity. Presentation given to both Norfolk and Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Public Health Networks (and others) between November 2005 - January 2006.
