Description:

The Department of Health has published 'Partnerships for better health, small change, big difference: healthier choices for life'. Major health problems such as obesity, smoking, alcohol abuse and sexually transmitted disease are the consequence of choices that people make on a day-to-day basis. Unless action is taken to reduce the potential adverse consequences of people's lifestyle choices, the future ill-health implications are huge. A key role for government is to work with partners to positively influence people's lifestyle decisions, improving the nation's health.
