RCPI to open new Cork office

02 Dec 2015

The RCPI is due to open its first office outside the capital this week, based in the College of Medicine and Health at University College Cork.

The College said the opening of the Cork office reflected “concentrated efforts by the College to strengthen the support network for our nationwide community of doctors”.

The new office is based at Brookfield Health and Science Complex on College Road and the formal launch is due to take place at Jennings Gallery on Thursday, December 3.

The launch is coinciding with the College’s Cork meeting, which involved meeting with doctors on the Basic Specialist Training (BST) Programme and Higher Specialist Training (HST) Programme.

President Prof Frank Murray, RCPI Registrar Dr Diarmuid O’Shea and other members of the executive were there to discuss topics including workplace-based assessments, ePortfolio developments and rotational structures of training programmes, as well as BST and HST assessment scheduling and study days and courses.
