13 Jul 2013

The Minister for Veterans' Affairs, Warren Snowdon, today announced that fifteen veterans of the Korean War will travel back to the Republic of Korea at the end of the month to mark the 60th anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which marked the end of active fighting on the Korean peninsula. Veterans from states and territories across Australia will depart for the Republic of Korea in what will be a moving journey back to the place they served in the early 1950's. The veterans represent the Royal Australian Navy, Royal Australian Air Force and the Australian Army, along with a member from the Royal Australian Army Nursing Corps.
