Ivan Yates, Chair of conference

The Pharmaceutical Managers’ Institute of Ireland (PMI) Annual Conference next week will hear from a number of high-profile experts from the worlds of health and business, including HSE Director General Tony O’Brien.

Among the other speakers at the event, to be held next Friday (March 11) at Carton House Hotel in Maynooth, will be: Lorraine Nolan, CEO of the Health Products Regulatory Authority; Darragh O’Loughlin, Secretary General of the Irish Pharmacy Union; Oliver O’Connor, CEO of the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association; Alan Quinlan, former Rugby International and motivational speaker; and Paul Marchant, CEO of Primark.

Last September, Marchant was named ‘outstanding leader of the year’ and received the retail transformation and reinvention prize at the World Retail Awards in Rome. The company has 290 stores in 10 countries, and opened its first two US outlets late last year.

Entitled ‘Healthcare 2016 — Where are we now?’, the conference is chaired this year by broadcaster and columnist Ivan Yates.

A gala dinner will take place that evening, along with entertainment from comedian Oliver Callan, with this year’s PMI drinks reception sponsored by Irish Medical Times and MIMS Ireland.
