24 Apr 2015

Patients affected by Anorexia Nervosa (AN) can exhibit several cardiovascular abnormalities [1–4] and data regarding Bulimia Nervosa (BN) and Binge Eating Disorder (BED) are scarce or lacking. The present investigation aims to assess the possible association between the echocardiographic findings and the psychopathological and clinical features of 40 patients (14 with AN, 13 with BN, 13 with BED) attending the Clinic for Eating Disorders (EDs) of the University of Florence (Italy) compared with 23 healthy women, recruited as healthy control group (HC) among the non-athletes subjects attending the Sports Medicine Centre.
