Differences in Sources of Sexual Health Information by Sexual Orientation: Findings from a Nationally Representative Sample of Adolescents

Relevant sexual health education is needed for sexual minority youth because HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) disproportionately affect this population; however, few studies have examined differences in what sexual health messages adolescents receive by sexual orientation. This study assesses whether adolescents differ by sexual orientation in what topics they report learning in formal sex education and in parental conversations about sex.
