Atrial electromechanical coupling: a complementary index for quantifying atrial cardiac electrical heterogeneity in preeclampsia

20 Feb 2015

We read the article entitled ‘P-wave duration changes and dispersion in preeclampsia’ by Kirbas et al. with great interest [1]. In this well designed research, they studied P-wave parameters in patients with preeclampsia and correlation between P-wave and severity of preeclampsia. In conclusion, they reported that minimum P wave and P wave dispersion (Pd) values were significantly altered in patients with preeclampsia compared to healthy pregnant controls.
