Health Protection Inequalities Seminar: Presentations and image gallery

The Institute of Public Health in Ireland (IPH)  hosted a participative seminar “Health Protection Inequalities” on Thursday, 18 February 2016 at the Clayton Hotel, 22 - 26 Ormeau Avenue, Belfast.
 
Background

IPH commissioned Dr Lorraine Doherty, Assistant Director of Public Health (Health Protection), Public Health Agency NI, to write an introductory paper on health protection inequalities. There is mounting evidence of inequalities in health protection areas including infectious disease and environmental impacts. Read the report here

Aim

The IPH hosted this meeting to discuss Dr Doherty’s paper and to consider how people engaged in public health in Ireland, North and South can work to address health protection areas with specific focus on vulnerable populations. Read the press release here
